Yuksek Ihtisas University (YIU) is a foundation university established in Ankara in 2011 by the Turkey High Specialization Hospital Foundation and the Turkey State Hospitals Foundation. The decision regarding the establishment of the university was published in the Official Gazette numbered 27863 on March 3, 2011. The name of the university was changed from Ankara Bilge University to Yüksek Ihtisas University with the 11th article of the Law numbered 6495 dated 12/7/2013. The university has two separate campuses located in Balgat and Baglum, and provides education in various fields of study.
