Yeditepe University is a foundation university established in 1996 by the Istanbul Education and Culture Foundation (ISTEK Foundation) under Law No. 4142, and located in Istanbul. It is a public legal entity with financial and administrative autonomy within the framework of the Higher Education Law. Its founder is Bedrettin Dalan. The university aims to educate young people who are loyal to Atatürk’s principles and reforms, secular, contemporary, research-oriented, innovative, knowledgeable about basic cultural subjects and technology, familiar with world culture, and strengthened in their self-identity. Yeditepe University provides education that is oriented towards the information age through its contemporary educational programs and practices.
