Politecnico di Torino is an engineering and architecture university located in the city of Turin in Northern Italy. It was founded in 1859 and is the oldest technical university in Italy. It has 26,000 students and is a member of the ESDP and TIME networks.

One of Italy’s top technical universities, Torino Politeknik Üniversitesi (Politecnico Di Torino, Polytechnic University of Turin, POLITO) achieved its current status in 1906 but has roots dating back even further. In 1859, Valentino Castle (Castello Del Valentino archived on April 29, 2020, in the Wayback Machine) was given to what would become the Mühendisler Teknik Okulu, now known as Torino Technical University. Following the model adopted by Europe’s most famous technical universities, Politecnico di Torino was established in the early 20th century.
