University of Health Sciences is a state university established in Istanbul. According to the law published in the Official Gazette on April 15, 2015, it was established in the same year. The university includes the faculties of Medicine, International Medicine, Ankara Gülhane Faculty of Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, as well as the School of Health Services and the Institute of Health Sciences. Additionally, in June 2020, it was announced through a presidential decree that the university will also establish medical faculties in Izmir, Trabzon, and Bursa.
The management bodies of the university will consist of the organs envisaged in the Higher Education Law and the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees will consist of a total of 5 members, including the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, the Rector, two members to be appointed by the Minister, and a member with the title of professor selected by the Higher Education Council.
