Bezmiâlem Vakıf University is a foundation university located in Fatih, Istanbul. It was established in 2010 by the Prime Ministry General Directorate of Foundations in the name of the Bezmiâlem Valide Sultan, Silahtar Abdullah Ağa, and Abdülhamit Sani charitable foundations. The university is named after Bezmialem Valide Sultan, the mother of Abdülmecid and the wife of Ottoman Sultan II. Mahmud. The language of instruction at the university is 70% Turkish and 30% English.
In 2015, the “Eyüpsultan” campus was added to Bezmiâlem Vakıf University, and in 2016, the university acquired the Murat Hüdavendigar University – Bezmiâlem University, which was closed under the State of Emergency Decree. This addition resulted in the creation of the “Bezmiâlem Health Vocational School Ilham Varank” campus.
