KTO Karatay University, which started its establishment studies in 2005, was opened in 2009 as the first foundation university of Konya by Konya Chamber of Commerce Education and Health Foundation. KTO Karatay University accepted its first students in the 2010-2011 academic year and graduated its first students in June 2013.
KTO Karatay University started its education with 3 faculties in 2010 and currently offers undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate education with 6 faculties, 3 vocational schools, 3 schools, and 1 institute. As of the 2020-2021 academic year, the total number of students at the university is approximately 9,000.
KTO Karatay University is the university of Konya Chamber of Commerce. Therefore, students receive education intertwined with the industrial and commercial world. Students who complete their internships during their education become individuals with sought-after qualifications in the industry. With the Sectoral Consultancy Project, it is aimed to ensure that students gain vocational and sectoral equipment related to their education areas while they continue their studies under the guidance of academic advisors. Additionally, the goal of KTO Karatay University is to primarily conduct education and research to solve the problems of the industrial and commercial sector in its region, to train qualified graduates who can easily find jobs, and then become a prominent university at the national and international level.
